These stone carvings will soon be inlaid with pebbles, shells, and sea glass. Eventually, they’ll lead visitors from the visitor center at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens down to the Fairy House Village.
This Spring we submitted a proposal and were later awarded the contract for a stone project at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. We’ve been busy all summer enhancing their Fairy House Village. The Fairy House Village is a section of The Gardens that has been left mostly wild. Kids (and adults) build Fariy Houses out of found materials. Our task has been to define and enhance the area while retaining it’s natural character. We started with some sketchtches: This is where we’re at today:
